  I'm glad to hear the baby wasn't thrown out a window, at least his "mother" had the decency not to chuck him in a dumpster or leave him somewhere to starve. I will go home & kiss my kids tonite. I couldn't imagine not wanting my child to that degree.

  hello it's been a long time since i was here just needed some input please from all loving parents...would you rather your daughter be:

  1. married to a guy who's not really that great (history of having lotsa women, irresponsible) but seems to love/like your daughter.

  2. be gay (with woman who is quite good, responsible and everything but - a woman...).

  I must concur with everyone else....I want my daughter to be happy, really happy and for that to happen, she has to find her way in life. My job is to support her at all costs and love her no matter what.

  True, some decisions she will inevitably make will disappoint me, but I'll love her none the less!

  Every Tuesday of every week I get my visit from my two favorite witnesses and neither one of them try to witness to me, I must be beyond hope.

  BUT, I've also never been called on by any others, and my mother has (we live a block apart), in fact, they know her by name, she chats with them all the time. What a waste for them, either that or they enjoy someone who will listen. My mother is so NOT going to convert, she just wants to learn about them. She's very nice to them....my dad just laughs. They know my situation well!

  Are you allergic to something?

  some people have to almost live in a bubble, because they are allergic to so many products.. probably there is a difference between being allergic, and just plain sensitive to certain products.

  in any case, are there things you just have to stay away from?

  i can't stand cinnamon it totally burns me up.

  Sad Today

  I'm a single mom so I can appreciate how you feel, having put your family first. What I've learned is that you need to take time for yourself. There is no shame in asking for help. I liked the suggestion to get a sitter & go with your husband, is this possible? If not, get one for one night a week, go to the movie, get a pedicure, anything to get away. We women tend to take on so much and forget ourselves in the mix. Talk to your husband about this, perhaps he can make some time for you as well?

  Talking to a therapist is an excellent idea as well, you will find you are not alone. Hang in there, feel free to PM me if you need to vent.

  I can't get to grips with being shunned

  my wife and i have been disassociated for about 2 months now.

  every day in our small town we are being shunned by former friends.

  one in particular annoyed me today.

  I'm not a JW but I feel the "shunning" from my ex's side. The only reason they talk to me is because of my son, but when he's not around I am the epitamy of evil I guess. The other day my ex's mother was outside checking her mail, so I slowed down to wave, she looked away...so I stopped....she looked at me again, I waved, she looked away again. My son saw the whole thing. I told him she wasn't being "very friendly today". Pathetic really. It's ok to talk to me when he's around but when they feel he isn't well, what's the point? It's good to know I'm better than that. I won't let them dictate how I am to be around them!

  what are some of the things you had to say to your kids you didn't think you'd ever have to say?

  if you don't have kids you can give some examples of any family member or friends.. here are mine to my 6 year old:.

  "please stop throwing your toys & the cat out the window" (to my 4 year old)

  "the CAT"??? Oh No!

  yes the cat....they have developed a love/hate relationship...whenever the 4 year old is calm & watching the TV or whatever, the cat takes that opportunity to get back at being thrown out the window and other things. The boy is covered in scratches but they both keep going back for more!! They have an understanding the two of them...it's eerie!!

  Only Jehovah's Witnesses

  i'm just new to this internet stuff and am studying with the jehovah's witnesses at present.please don't take my lack of knowledge as cheek.

  i just want to know if it's meant to be only jehovah's witnesses using this site.

  i fully intend to become baptised but was wondering if there's any security to prevent people who shouldn't be using the site and are maybe abusing it from doing so.

  WTF?? I just read this whole thing....if you're not a JW why the hell would you want to argue for something you don't have any clue about?? That would be like me trying to convince ya'll were wrong. Whatever...it's entertainment anyway!
